Hello! I help leaders, team members and individuals discover how to build their capabilities, confidence and impact. Many experiences over the past 30-plus years shaped me as the coach and consultant I am today.
My first career as a crime and court reporter gave me opportunities to connect with people from all walks of life, often in tragic situations. This sparked my interest in human dynamics and psychology. Later as a business reporter in the New York metro region, I became fascinated with the organizational world – and why some people thrive in their careers while others dread each work week.
That question led me to graduate school, where I earned an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. In the decades since, I have held consulting roles with a variety of organizations, including PwC and the Thomson Corporation. Most recently I completed a four-year stint as a Principal in the New York office of Korn Ferry, coaching and developing front-line and senior leaders in the Fortune 500.

My clients from worlds as diverse as technology, media and entertainment, manufacturing, and financial services and payments taught me what they value most in a client relationship.
First:
They want their consultant or coach to listen – really listen. How else can you understand your client’s world, their pressures, and the opportunities they want to seize?
Also:
Clients are open to challenges, but often find it overwhelming to tackle too much, too soon. They value someone who creates a sense of calm and clarity around where to focus first.
Lastly:
They want their coaches and consultants to walk alongside them in partnership, serving as a catalyst who helps them author their own success.
All of this shapes the Talent Directions approach.
